Winamp on Mac OS X 10.6
Hey there,
Was wondering if there is any future support to release some sort of stable version of Winamp to run on the Mac at all. Reason I ask is, I'm a graphic designer so I've had to adopt some industry standards and while some are better than others, one I dislike is the way iTunes handles every one of my music files, copying/moving/disorganizing it and making the library itself a living hell while I know, since having used Winamp previously on a PC, that it's handles itself far better than iTunes in every way. So if you developers are reading, would love to hear a response from you. I'm a very loving fan of Winamp and dearly miss it. ![]() ![]() |

iTunes will only move files if you tell it too. By default it will leave your library alone. And if you do choose to manage your library it will copy the files to their new destination. As for Winamp on the Mac.... a native version? Well Winamp is just shell that relies on machine compiled plugins for everything. Winamp itself does little of anything. Winamp was not built to be portable.
