Recorder with timer
Hi
Am I missing something obvious, or is it really true that noone has made a plugin for Winamp which features timed recordings of radio stations? Winamp natively plays the radio, and MP3 output records it, but how do I time it? And it would be grand, if I could listen to the sound while recording it. Oh - And it should be packaged with an easy useable menu. Doesn't a plugin like this exist? FFY |

Not sure about the timer but you can use streamripper to record the radio and listen at the same time.

Thanks for replying.
Actually - I had already considered using this one. But I would much prefer using Winamp, since all my favorite stations and bookmarks are collected there. Winamp plays shoutcast stations Dietmars output stacker allows me to use two output plugins at the same time, which allows me to listen to the station while I record it into MP3. The only thing I really lack, is a plugin which allows me to automate this. So That I can time it to record different stations, eg. if I'm not in front of the PC. FFY |

ok, lets make this legal:
is there a plugin that will automatically record something, say an external audio input (over-the-air broadcasting) at a set time? ![]() |

Well, if you set up Winamp to use the DiskWriter output and for linein recording, you can use a timer/alarmclock - type plugin to set it to automatically start.
And it still isn't legal. powered by C₈H₁₀N₄O₂ |
