Playlist naming issue

This has always been a bug, but I thought maybe I should finally ask for a solution:

If I attempt to save a playlist on my desktop (or any directory) that already has a folder with the same name, it will open the folder instead.

Other than manually adding the .m3u, or leaving a letter off the playlist name, is there a proper solution?

that's how the open and save dialogs work in Windows as Winamp is just using an api provided. so what you're doing is basically the way to get around it (though it's intended behaviour for the dialog to work that way).
