K-Jöfol - The Program

First the skin, than the page. The fun never stops.

I have gathered together the last beta (that I could find) of the K-Jofol program and some of the best skins, and put them on their own page.

Take a look what all the fuss was about.

Do remember though, the program and the skins were all in various stages of beta, so they might not work optimal at times and not all the features are working. Although I've had K-Jofol going now for about 6 hours with no problems.

The authors of the skins? No, I did however try to talk with Steve, don't know if he got my message or not. In a few days I'll send him an e-mail if I don't hear from him.

man... they had pretty cool skins
and you can see that even beginner-artists made cool skins...one thing that in winamp was almost always missing

Frozen skins: Gravestone Betaskins: Mushroom ::-:: The Claw
In development: TechnodropFinished: Draculas Helmet (<-- still waiting for some color themes!) ::-:: Hal's eye

Vibrocentric would make one awesome winamp skin if someone would port it, with the artists permission of course. :-)

there was a skin with a this pitch function once. Adil (only some of you will still remember him) made the graphics and i guess bizzy coded the part which was done. The skin was called "[big]Moow[/big]". That pitch function doesnt work anymore with winamp5. I have a beta of it but i dun know if i am allowed to make it public. Ask bizzy or adil to give you the skin if you are interested. I have attached the skinshot they made once.

I have that skin (it used to be on Adils site, dunno if it still is), it says to install a pitch plugin or something to get the pitch knob to work, which I didn't try.

WA5 has a DSP plugin built-in though, it can change pitch but it's hidden behind lots of menus, so hopefully somebody will do a skin controlling that one day. Too advanced for me I bet.

I have asked a plugin expert we have all come to love, and he says it is possible and should not be too hard to make a plugin that would make it possible to use K-Jofol skins in Winamp. If anybody here knows anything about plugins and would like a crack at it, that would be much appreciated

Epsilux is just amazing as a skin. It also has something lots of new skins don't seem to have: low CPU usage.

I really wish someone would finish it. It works fine but the buttons are broken/need cosmetic tweaks.

http://www.k-jofol.com/

No, it's not the official K-Jofol site, squatters now own the kjofol.org and the kjofol.com domains. But they forgot about this one.

It's all here, the program, the skins, and the skin tutorial. And hopefully very soon we'll have something else for you on this site that will make it all relevant.

So if you are interested in an old forgotten program that brought the freeform skin to the audio player, visit http://www.k-jofol.com/

www.k-jofol.com is back

After a short absence due to the costs involved, www.k-jofol.com is back on-line.

I have found a server who is a lot less expensive than the previous one, so it looks like I can afford this site now.
The k-jofol.com domain has now been registered for 5 years, and the server has been pre-paid for one year.

The site contains a download link to the last beta of the k-jofol client, a k-jofol skin tutorial, instructions on how to submit a k-jofol skin to the site, a fine selection of some older k-jofol skins and also a forum at forums.k-jofol.com.

The site is also integrated with www.fusionamp.com, where you can find the finest of the fusion skins and a few other nice skins, especially on the Nullsoft Skinz page.

Now don't be shy, visit the site, make a skin and become one of the first authors of a new generation of k-jofol skins.

I probably should tell you a plugin is in the works by Dr.O so k-jofol skins can be used for Winamp. You can visit Dr.O's k-jofol site at www.k-jofol.co.uk.
