Winamp installation freezes up
I tried to install Winamp twice (using 2 different install files) and every time I set it up to extract files and all that good stuff, it freezes and does nothing once it reaches "checking if internet is available" or something similar. I have to stop the application through the manager. Uhm... how can I get it to finish installation? I was able to install Winamp on this computer before, so it's not a hardware issue.
Help is appreciated ![]() |

from what you are saying sounds like winamp is being blocked by a firewall
if you do not have a seperate firewall open the one built into windows and check the settings for winamp if you have seperate security suite/firewall check its setting for winamp other thing you can do during the setup (if you not using the internet part) is to tell it not to install online services(if you still cant get the program installed) thanks rob (c)rob 2013 (picture & SN) (please note) As users we can't give others help unless we get full details of the problem that you are having Last edited by robdog2004; 12th May 2010 at 06:50.
