Converting MP2 to MP3 using Winamp?

Just how are you supposed to do it?

Sorry, I meant MP2 to WAV

Yep, MP2 to WAV. I can convert the WAV to MP3 so I don't need that part.

But not quite because...

When I open the MP2 files in WinAmp, they don't want to play. They play fine in Windows Media Player and everything else, but when I load them in WinAmp, they say the file is an obscene length (like 10 hours) and won't play, just sit still when I press play. Am I doing something wrong?

And these MP2's are just audio files, no video data?

Have you tried a ripper such as CDex? (freeware)
Click MPEG to WAV button.
