I thought about it and that is kinda odd. What's the IP address? Can you post a sample entry from your DNAS logs?

I think it would be more helpful to post the part of the log where the source stream connects ... perhaps your DNAS setting is overriding the source stream private setting

Is it just me or are shoutcast users getting dumber?

what does your DNAS config file look like ... there's a setting in there to do with public stream that can override the source stream (icy-pub:0 means private)

the setting is

PublicServer={default|always|never}

if it's set to always, it will override the source stream setting

I mean, how would YP even know about that stream otherwise, even if YP2 and all the v2 programs are beta and a bit buggy, it wouldn't know about a DNAS 1.9.8 stream that never tries to advertise itself

Is it just me or are shoutcast users getting dumber?

I have it on (Never) in my case that doesn't stop the puller

just for sorting things out I opened an instance of steamcast to see what happens ....also PublicServer=Never the second I start the app the pullers ip's are trying to connect.
Mebbe i shouldn't run from the default port 8000 because anything I run from port:8000
(scdp-d02.websys.aol.com) is trying to connect.
I'm zinking running shoutcast from another port I got a feeling the puller wont bother me there
