Replay Gain Usage?

how exactly do i work this new feature?
i'm told it's supposed to normalize the volume across all tracks and i've enabled it, but quite a few still seem much quieter.

BUMP.
this is really annoying me, does it only come into play when items are first added into the library or what?

You have to actually scan all your files so that RG is applied.

ML or Playlist -> right-click items -> Send to -> Calculate Replay Gain

If you've got a large library, then it's recommended to do it in stages, as RG scan uses high cpu.

If you've just enabled the "Use Replay Gain" option in Prefs -> Playback, but none of your files actually have any RG values applied, then Winamp will just apply whatever value you've got set for "Adjustment for files without Replay Gain", which is -6.0dB by default.
