Can the playlist window use transparancy?

Not true transparancy, i.e see thru to the desktop or whatever is behind your winamp, but you can fake it a bit on the playlist buttons, fiddle around with the button stack on the pledit.bmp to create button backgrouds that match the track list window and the bottom of the playlist window etc etc
Back to the day job

Unfortunately, the only components that support transparency are:
Main Main - windowshade EQ EQ - windowshade Wouldn't it be nice if Winamp 3 supported transparency on all components  ------------------ Jayn WSD Skins |

NOOOOOO, region files kill me as it is LOL,lets all go the MikroAMP way and define one colour to be transparent, way way way easier. Latest skin..... 2 days to do region file for main window 2 minutes to make MikroAMP transparent LOL Back to the day job

Yeah I read about the skinmaster transparancy thing AFTER I had spent two days going blind writing co-ordinates down LOL, tried the same skin in skinmaster and bingo, better effect and way less eye strain in less time than its taken me to write this LOL, that will teach me to listen to all those people on here who say "skinning tools are the work of the devil", if thats the case I bow before thee oh mighty satan, for skinmaster region generator truly rocks Well, apart from the teeny weeny bug in it that affected me, check my reply to Helmuth in skin tech support for more http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/Forum18/HTML/000021.html Back to the day job

OK, I've been putting off asking this, 'cause I dinna want to sound ingnorant, but...
How successful has anyone been getting their colors applied to the system tray icons? I seem to be stuck with some default 16 color palette (a Windows icon palette?) and can't get my beautiful, 24-bit little triangles and squares to "render" correctly in the system tray. Does anyone know of a switch buried in Windows that effects color depth of the system tray? ------------------ -- this space intentionally left blank -- |

I'm having problems with that too Cappy....I had the coolest gradient, saved, refreshed, and what appeared in my tray was...well...rather yucky!
So back into the paint.....modified it, and it looks cool now, but geez....it looked really "clumpy" before (ok.....more like really obnoxious )! *sniffle*...so long 16 million colors.....but I'll gladly sacrifice the tray colors just because the transparencies are such a breeze! ------------------ Jayn WSD Skins |
