problem after download

I have used winamp previously without any tech problems.
But now after having downloaded the latest version the following happens- when clicking listen at radio station or via shoutcast rather than taking me to the audio stream, a window opens which allows me to save the "station". So I cannot listen to anything. In terms of the install, I did not click the startup option. I downloaded then uninstalled and then downloaded again and problem remains.

Please advise.
