Shout Stream: Wordpress plugin
Hello
For any wordpress users around I have made shout stream plugin for WORDPRESS. It embeds a mini Media Player at your sidebar to connect to a stream (shoutcast is tested) along with basic stats. Media player is readable from all major browsers. It has also a link for a popup window so your readers could surf at your blog without stopping hearing the stream. Plugin's page is located here. I would appreciate any feedback on this plugin cause it's only tested with my stream. Thank you |

Shout Stream plugin for Wordpress has comes to 2.1 version. What's new is that now it 's packed along with the free version of Minicaster flash player as an option.
So if you have a wordpress blog somewhere and a shoutcast stream that plugin will do the trick! It checks the browser and if an MSIE it plays the stream with media player but with all other browsers it uses Minicaster. That means almost any visitor should be happy! It has also a nice POPUP player that lets visitors surf your blog and also shows basic shoutcast stats in your sidebar. too bad i cannot find a descent flash player without memory leaking which would be open source so i could make a smaller skin and/or maybe could use JS to parse vars instead of having to edit an xml file. If you have anything in mind i'm all ears. cheers |

Hello all
I have released a new simplified version of Shout Stream for use in ANY website that supports PHP. Shout Stream WB is a script that embeds a media player or the free minicaster flash player along with live stats from shoutcast page using AJAX and a POPUP player in php pages. I ve made a simple test page where you can see it and download it and it's located here: deuced.net/files/shout-stream-wb/ It comes with a README file where you can find simple instructions on how to use it. I ve released v2.4 of Shout Stream plugin for WordPress users. Now it supports multiple streams popup windows with Media Player or Minicaster flash player. Configuration is through WordPress control panel, no external files needed. Feedback is always welcome. |

Shout Stream version 3.0 is out for all WordPress users around that wanna have a bridge between their wordpress and their stream. There are lots of new features but whats most important is that there s a new flash player: FFmp3
FFmp3 is a new player written in haXe. It's an open source flash player which has something unique, it can handle "memory leaking" problem in browsers in a smart seamless way. Every hour it reconnects clearing the buffer. It uses flash 10. I ve adopted FFmp3 and made 4 skins, most of them are using a PNG as background so basic customization is easy as long as you can handle photoshop. Well Jack i cannot understand what exactly you want.
Shout Stream plugin uses FFmp3, Minicaster or Media player. If any of them works for you then you are free to use it. You use minicaster on your site. Get latest version of my plugin and use FFmp3 instead of Minicaster. You wont have troubles. Sodah's native flash radio script is a good well designed stand alone flash player and if it works for you you can use it but i cannot embed all flash players available in a WordPress plugin! Thanks a lot for the answers, first i want to live clear that I use the deuce pluging from several months ago, and the people talk about cuts, that's why i include in my site the option for use en wmp, winamp , itunes o any program with support of pls or m3u.
I transmit at 96kb/s 44.100 stereo from my servers with the shoutcast server over linux and support more of 1000 connections at the time. I leave the sodah's flash radio link just for general information and maybe works with the Shout Stream.. who knows..that's all The plugin of Shout Strem doens't report a update in my dashboard, i try today with the new one y leave you a comment. Thanks a lot for your nice work, note: one bug i find: don't know why only work like a widget because in the settings the option "both" is checked. But, wait for me, first I try the new version and I comment the results. Anyway I like to say thanks deuce because is the better wordpress plugin I found.. just a few bugs that are normal in the process my best regards Jack PS.Brutish Sailor: in all browser happend, but not if you use the winamp or other directly. |

deucedblog!! Version 3.3 is very COOL!! I saw the new one version with the icons of the players more intuitive like the icons that I install in the web of my radio station before.

Yeah, James and I already deducted that the minicaster still has some major memory leakage, even in its "pro version"
I think I talked about how angry I was he lost $20 on it like... 6 months ago. But the cost of a good flashplayer that works for ICECAST2, priceless. KNSJ.org 89.1 FM San Diego |

Thx jackcr, i told you, latest version is improved.
Hey Brutish Sailor, why dont you try FFmp3 player? It's open source built with hAxe, latest release can even play ogg streams, supports shoutcast/icecast/nicecast and, most important, it deals with memory leak. |

Is this a good plugin for my wordpress blog to stream internet radio? I read your description on the site but did not see this specifically mentioned. Looks like you only have certian streams available?

If anyone has the shortcode for the stats page, could you please post it? His website is down and no one has seen or heard from duced since Feb and the shortcode is not in the wordpress page nor the readme.

By the way the plugin for wordpress is available in http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/shout-stream/ Actually works fine The design under flash option can be edited in photoshop or similar. Yes, everything does work fine, except the stats page because the shortcode is needed to insert into the wp page. Hence the reason I posted what I did. If you have the shortcode jackcr, plz post it.

Before any sorry for my very basic English. I've downloaded this plugin which seemed to be able to meet my expectations, unfortunately I must be very water bottle, I can't do work with WP. I know how to fill out the field: URL Shout Stream page (I just any attempted dj but nothing works) As well as fields: IP Stream or domain, PORT, mounting point. To be relevant in my application for assistance here are two URLs that I copied URL Stream page: http://www.shoutcast.com/shoutcast_popup_player?station_id=764268&play_status=1&stn=Radio%20Eden%20123%%20popcornoldies:8000This is the url I retrieves when the radio is online, that I do a search via the shout cast = listen homepage For the second part Domain or IP Stream I put as a URL: http://www.shoutcast.com/shoutcast_popup_player?station_id=764268&play_status=1&stn=Radio%20Eden%20123%%20popcornoldiesand the port: 8000 Where is there a (s) error (s)? The Designer plugin is unfortunately more site and on the WP - forum en person does seem to be able to help me. Doing some research on google I tried other things such as: Shout Stream page URL: http://yp.shoutcast.com/sbin/tunein-station.pls?id=882248and Stream IP or Domain: http://192.168.1.2/8000/(with and without ";" as advised on the site:http://ffmp3.sourceforge.net/download.php) Port: 8000I have also tried to reverse the two URLs. Even through the connexion site I get nothing.... I get good radio ds the sidebar but tentatvie connection remains idle. So I really do an error URL, I do not know where went to seek... hello! too bad you didnt post your solution! I didnt find on the FAQ, and the blog still down.
I need simple info, some examples on what i would need to put up on the brackets, for this fields: shout stream page url, stream name, stream ip or domain, port and mount point. my radio is - http://radio.guerrilhagig.com, and iv putted in this way and order, didnt worked: http://radio.guerrilhagig.com:8000 popup 200.145.119.88 8000 guerrilharadio.ogg the icons for the players popup works, but the player dont. |

Et ce malgré les divers forums écumés et recherhces sur Google J'ai pris une autre alternative fonctionnant nettement mieux que Shout Cast+ Winamp Désolée.... |

Think MOBILE! Ideally it's great to use FLASH, but look for a Mobile friendly one. I have use several API's.
