how do I get winamp to play FLAC and OGG
As it says on the page, these file types are supported and I've never had problems using them with winamp but after reinstalling win7, changing sound card and driver and installing the newest version of winamp these files do not play. I am using an M-audio transit usb soundcard but I dont think that's the fault because both of the formats can still be played easily with VLC player. Is anyone having the same problem or knows how to fix it?
Many thanks to whoever is able to help as I would hate to change media players! |

Sounds to me like you didn't include them during the install process. Are the following files in your plugins directory?
in_flac.dll for FLAC in_vorbis.dll for OGG If they are missing, then I'd suggest a re-install making sure you include these during the install process. |

As MarkRH says - these are defaults in the standard Winamp now. Check through a reinstall and see what happens.
Unless you installed a pluggin that broke these? |
