Excuse me but ...

I just want to ask :
"How can a skin be among the Featured Skin ? Is it only skins made by the Nullsoft people ? Or do I have to pay ? "

Sorry if my question sounds stupid, he he ...
Btw, I really like Raj's work !

Thanks for reading !

we don't really know. Admin just picks em. We have nothing to do with it, and they've never offered to explain. Your best bet is just to make a damned good skin, and then cross your fingers. As you can see by the shit skins that sometimes get featured, the luck part plays the predominant role.

...a blatant person.

Man ! I didn't expect it will be replied this fast ... and this much

Maybe I have never go to forum like this or
maybe I usually hold my pants too long waiting my skins to be reviewed ...

So Nullsoft's staffs are clustered or stratified eh ...
I thought it is a small software house ...
(Sorry for my stupidity)
The admin is so diligent that they promote the skins they like,
make a nice pic, to promote Winamp.

Thank you guys, it's nice to talk to you ...
And Mr Jones, thanks for the offer but ...
I want it to be free ...

Well, it can't be only staff, because currently I see one by:

- kinwashi (not aware of him being on Nullsoft's staff)
- zkrezo (sorry, used to calling him by his devART handle... Not aware of him being a Nullsoft person either)
- and one by ME! I know for a fact that I am not on the Nullsoft payroll (although I'd love to be... Hey, umm, I'll... Test skins! Yeah! ).

I guess it's just skins that the admins like for the moment. *shrug* Thanks to whoever picks 'em for liking mine!

But I've no idea what ROFL means. While you're here, could you maybe explain a couple of other acronyms I might come across that would probably cause me more problems?
Cheers.

Glad I had you rolling Cleanup, but I think exaggeration may have played a part on your behalf
why does WOOT mean that? And ditto for LEET?

I first saw the term LEET used by the author MikroAmp do describe MikroAmp functions. I figured it meant "compact" or "streamlined and easy to use"

Hmm, I think I'll change my avatar to:

'Leet' is a short term in hacker language.. you know... all that r0x0r crap and h4ck3r stuff... Leet would be Elite. Or 3L337. The threes are the E's, the seven being a T.

Or.. in the dictionary's case, 'leet' means let.

Well, technically W00T is a battle cry. It's often found in the commenst attached to news items at DevArt along with the phrase 'F1RST POST' and often followed up with 'DAMN NOT FIRST POST'. It's an utter waste of time and over here would be post-pumping.

[trying to sound smart]leet comes from the word elite. it is also often "spelled" with a "1": 1337. it is used in phrases such as: "I R 1337 h@><0rz," which usually means someting like "I don't know anything about hacking, but if I did I'm sure I would hack you."
leet is also used alot in online gaming
other words that might be of interest.
0wnz - is much better than; is much cooler than, etc
j00 - you
so the phrase "$ |_| |> 3 '/ ()\/\/(\)z j()()" would mean: "Supey is so much cooler than you that you might as well go stick your head in a blender"

Speaking of dictionaries, it was pointed out to me recently how stupid it is that in the dictionary, you'll find the explanation of the word "dictionary".

Thought I'd share that with you. I'll try to keep my posts skin-related now

It's stupid because if you don't know what a "dictionary" is then you're not going to look it up in the dictionary, are you? (and if you want to know how to spell it, then instead of looking it up, you'll just look at the cover)
