recently played history stopped

I use recently played rather than the actual history plugin because you can arrange the columns with recently played.
But it has just stopped working, nothing updates in recently played.
I had done a reinstall but still the same. Using latest version.
:-(

I see now. If the songs are outside of default search folder this is when the prob happens.
So if I import/play a song from a folder not being watched then it does not show in recently played.

recently played is only for items in the library. the history view is the one which covers anything played. never quite got why the original dev team implemented what can basically be a duplicate of the other with regards to the data it stores and i would have just done the history view and left it at that as this confusion seems to pop-up every now and then.

yeah agree DrO. Why not just have one and make it allow for changing the columns too like recently played.
Maybe one for the wishlist although it sounds very possible.

well, they do do different things. i like the way it is now, b/c that can spot an issue, if you understand how it works.

maybe I miss the point then.
All I would want is one that
>has history
>has adjustable column headings
>works with all files whether in library or not

I will have a play again and see if I can work out the different things they do and why it maybe is not possible to combine them as you may be indicating Mr Sinatra

thats not what i meant...

you are right that the way they display is different, and so i guess trying to get history to look more like recently played is what you want.

but what i am saying is that having one view that shows only a log of ML items vs a view that shows a log of everything, ML or not, is useful to me.

I get you now. Thanks. I would rather use history view but those fixed columns annoy me. Call me difficult. :-)
