Smart View Query

Stupidly i didn't back up my Winamp database or Smart view settings, you'll never guess what happened.

Anyway, have re added everything to the Media Library, but now i can't for the life of me remember how to set the custom view up for the following setup

All my media is kept in directories.. ie

1960's
1970's
Video

etc, etc etc,

Everything is added to the Media Library, now all i need is to set a smart view that will display only the files in the 1960's directory. (so on and so forth..)

Anyone got any ideas ?

Regards

You can make a smart view for each directory. Use the query " filename has "X X X" ", where "X X X" is the directory name in quotes.

Ok I created a Smart View with the options Filename Contains "D:\1960s\" and nothing gets displayed. however if i go to the Local Library view and add (Show File Path) to the column display i can see the files in the library in the directory D:\1960s.

Unfortunately there is no "File Path" option for the create smart view tool. That would make it rather easy then.

Got it...

Just had to use Advanced mode and the line Filename Begins "D:\1960s\" and worked like a dream.

I'm glad you discovered a query that works. However, the query I suggested filename has "d:\1960s" will also work.
