i dont know how to make skins and crap but i want to learn. when winamp 3 comes out will i need to get a completely new kind of skin maker? and will making skins be completely different? basically i'm too lazy and don't want to learn more stuff than i have to

Bizznit....yes, from what we're hearing skin making is going to be a whole new ballgame with Winamp3. I haven't heard of any plans for skinning programs for it yet either *winkin' at Zeruel*. Maybe now would be an opportune time to visit the Developers tab and get a "feel" for skinning without a skinning program

argggh damn! well i'll just wait then. that way i can maximize my time and thus be more efficient (a.k.a lazy). besides i read the HUGE tutorial and it is confusing. i downloaded all the skin editors and still have no idea what the hell i'm doing. i hope winamp 3 is gonna be more friendly towards the skin making illiterate.

i recommend not using the readme.. it IS confusing. Just accept that your first skin will *probably* look horrible and very similar to the base skin. Go through and try editing the baseskin. Once you finish one part, you'll start to understand another. That's how i taught myself. It also helps to look at the bmps of other people's skins.

for my first skin i used a skinner program to give me the layout then i just went from there

anyways, i guarantee someone will create a skinner for w a 3
