"Error-Free" Trance Musik?

Hi Everyone.

Today I listened to "ETS Global - Trance livesets, live DJs and shows" and was glad to find such good music, but in every song was at least one error. Repeatedly fractions of a secound to a few secounds were overleaped. Is this a well known problem? Do they do that on purpose? If yes, du you have any suggestions which stations have good and "errorfree" trance and psychedelic musik with a bitrate of at least 160 and no clipping?

Thank you.
Karsten

Hi protegechris.

I doubt it, because, at the same time I downloaded from AfterhoursDJsorg and that was totally ok.

That could be your problem. For instance, I cannot listen to streaming while I download anything. Including some webpages. Not to mention you may just have a bad connection to their server

yeah, i'm back.

Hi protegechris.

I use Stationripper to rip from the stations and about 1 week ago it was ok to rip from ETS Global. I don't know, what's wrong. I have dsl, that should be fast enough. But, I think, that was not the problem.

Some streams may insert intentional blips and bumps. In the sort term if they are infrequent enough it really wouldn't bother the normal listeners. It would only really effect people using Stream Rippers to steal their content. A good idea, really.

Hi Death Reaper and drewbar.

So far I know, it is legal, to stream for yourself. It is only illegal, if you would pass it on to many others. Stationripper is a legal freewareprogramm.

bye

Contact the station owners. I for one, would say "No you may not rip my stream", and if you did, I could sue you.

It's against the rules in these forums to talk about streamripping in the first place

yeah, i'm back.

Ripping copyrighted streams is illegal and you will find NO SUPPORT asking for help with stealing peoples work. Argue all you want, you will never get any help with a stream ripper here.

Stream Ripping is illegal any way you put it. It doesn't matter if you redistribute it or not, you are still stealing copyrighted work. It is illegal and I will be notifying ETS Global of this. They can take the matters into their own hands. I highly suggest you stop, or you could get into a lot of trouble, and your/your parents wallet will not appreciate it.

Death Reaper

Theoretically Kazaa and Morpheus are also legal programs, it's the illegal use of them that makes them bad programs. The government is attempting to pass a new law called the Inducing Infringement thingy which would make your use of the program an illegal act as well as get the station playing the music in trouble. Therefore most who are in a position to be streamripped are purposely inserting blips and glitches into their stream to keep rippers from accessing the stream and the smart ones just block your IP from accessing the server at all.

To me I see nothing wrong with it. For years if you liked a song on regular radio you could record it using a cassette player. Cassette players are legal, the blank tapes are legal and the use of them are legal. A stream ripping program is the same thing just more technologically advanced. For one you are getting audio which is subpar to the actual CD and in many cases (like my station) we crossfade the audio so you'll never be able to rip a perfect copy of a song since they all overlap just like FM stations do. Streamrippers are noting to worry about in my book as millions of cassette deck owners over 20 + years never hurt anyone doing the same thing.
