WinAmp and FLV

Sorry if this has been addressed before, my search for FLV turned out nothing.

I use WinAmp Winamp 5.621.
I have installed the Essential Pack.
I have added the ;FLV

Didn't work.

Got me a new FLV decoder, didn't work.

Tried several other options, to no avail.

Problem: FLV skips, and races in some files through the whole.
A 5 minute song is replayed (no sound nor video) in seconds.

I do not quite know what you need for information, but I will provide whatever you need.
Edited in a bit (need reboot).
Sorry about that...

I checked the FAq etc, several topics through google, to no avail.

Please help me, this is driving me insane (being a music addict).
Thank you.

EDIT: Removing ;FLv seemed to have fixed my problem with one FLV, checking the others....

EDIT: second failed, had to readd the ;FLV...
Now the first one AGAIN fails on me, skipping fast through the song.

Hi

http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=161361#video
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....85#post2013385

It depends on what the video & audio codecs are inside the FLV container
The most common are either h.263 or h.264 video and usually mp3 audio.

For h.263 you can use the h263 decoder from the Essentials Pack
and keep FLV associated with in_flv (not in_dshow).
The h.263 decoder (f263.w5s) only works with in_flv anyway.

If it's h.264 video, then you can only use in_flv for FLV if the Winamp Pro features are unlocked
because h.264 video support is a native feature of Winamp Pro, not Winamp free.

If you don't have a Winamp Pro license and the Pro features are unlocked,
then you will need to use the DirectShow workaround instead of the Essential Pack method.

ie. remove in_flv.dll
Install the FLV Splitter
Install ffdshow & make sure it's configured to handle h264 & h263
Add ;FLV to in_dshow config
(see 2nd link above for details)
