Weird problem with videos not changing nicely

For some reason when one video is over and shoutcast/nsv loads up the next one, it never gets sent to anyone watching. everything just stops when their video is over... and you have to click "play" on winamp for it to re-buffer and start showing the next one that shoutcast is streaming.

Does anyone know what would be causing this?

all of the bitrates were encoded to 200kbps, but, alot of the times when nsvenc would start encoding them the bitrates would be varying greatly.

what do you mean by different size?

and if the varying bitrate that nsvenc was doing would make it so that the videos dont change correctly to the next one, what do i need to do to fix this?

(sorry if these are noobie questions)

Nevermind, I figured out what you meant by size. I have the "Drop/repeat frames to achieve" box checked and have it set to 30.000000 fps

i did NOT have the "Resize to" box checked. I bet that's what it was, they were all encoded to differnet screen sizes :P

Thanks for your help. I am pretty sure that is what it was. The FPS and bitrate were force to 200kbps, but the screen sizes were different

I think 30fps is overkill for Streaming Video and I would recommend using 23.976 FPS or lower.

Also when resizing... take care to look at original framesizes. You don't want to resize a 16:9 video to 640x480... that'll just look weird.

I myself keep 2 profiles.. one for 4:3 and another for 16:9 videos.
