Very nice! I find it relaxing because of how it only subtly reacts to the music instead of spastically moving or rotating the camera.

Wow! Jewelry is sublime. Fit for the HD screens of kings and queens the world over. Totally in love with the lighting and shadow work.

This was inspired by a a video produced by Peer Play using Unity in 2017: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYdKi4I_1RA

Damn impressive, as usual, I'm so glad it's 2019 and you're still making presets =) . Wish you'd have been able to achieve flat bars instead of those semi-textured ones, but IIRC it's not actually easy.. or was it just your call?

The texture is on purpose, to make the reflection more realistic. To remove it, search for variable float2 ka in the comp shader and multiply it by zero.

Martin, I have a question regarding your Rogue Wave preset (both PS/PS3 versions), I'm using milkdrop as an embedded visualizer in Foobar2000, so not fullscreen or in desktop mode.
For some reason when the viewport is square(ish) there's a weird band in the top of the viewport that shouldn't be there and which is not visible when watching the preset in Fullscreen/Desktop mode (aspect ration influences the display). See attached screenshot. being a total noob with HSLS, Could you point me to what I need changing to fix it and make this beautiful preset aspect ratio independant? |

Hi IssaMe
you can fix this by deleting the line code: in line 7 of the comp shader section. |

Ah, can't edit posts...
Martin, given your amazing milkdrop skills I doubt you'll need much in the way of inspiration, but if you find yourself wanting and have an iOS device to your disposal, take a look at Tunr from SoundSpectrum |

Hi Martin, MAYBE I've already suggested this, so there goes a "sorry" in advance (I'm getting old hah); if this kind of vis (or an approach) is doable, would be awesome >> https://youtu.be/upS3PEjQKNQ

This is essentially a particle simulation, and no, cannot be done with MD. Particles in MD are limited to 4096 and the machine will already choke on them because the processing is done on the CPU. For visuals like that you'll probably need some 50.000 or more particles, and that's a job for the GPU. Unfortunately, MD provides no way to do that.

Absolutely gorgeous preset Martin. Blown away by how calming it is.
Fascinating that you got the spectrum analyser part in the composite shader section. I'm a slow learner but I hope to complete an an original preset one day. ![]() |

Glad you like it.
The way to get the spectrum analyser data into the composite shader is by drawing the data to the border of the screen and then reading the brightness in the comp shader. I needed this trick because MD gives me only variables q1...q32 to communicate to the shader. It's not very precise, but sufficient. I also hope to see a preset of yours one day. Best as long as this forum is still online... Martin |

The search for the ultimate signature continues apace. I have journeyed from the peaks of Nepal to the depths of oceanic trenches. I have crossed deserts, jungles, swamps, savannas, steppes and frozen wastelands. I have consulted with seers, swamis, sages, scholars and savants. The peregrination proceeds purposefully. |

Preview
Thanks.
Here is a preview of what I'm currently working on. It resurrects the lava theme used in "extreme heat" and my old "Bridge of Khazad Dum". I just like the motive of volcanoes and melting lava... But I'm still looking for the ultimative name. The search continues apace ![]() Martin |

Looks intriguing. My name suggestion is probably cheesy: Io's missing beat or something along those lines.

Thanks for your ideas. I think Neebster's proposal comes closest to what I had in mind... Hades, the god of the dead and king of the underworld. The motive inspired me to change the mood a bit, see the preview attached.
Will need a few more days to adjust movements and do some fine tuning |
