preset for winamp (THE BEST)

hey, i was fidling around with the winamp equilizer settings and came up with this. set your equalizer settings to (from first to last) 60hz: 2.2, +170hz: +9.8, 310hz: +18.7, 600hz: -5.4, 1hz: +4.8, 3hz: +11.1, and the last for to max (6hz: 20.0)

i was going to send these setings to winamp and mabe they would make it a preset in an upcoming version but i could find the e-mail. anyway these settings give the best and clearest sound out off ALL the presets. tell me what you think!!

Generally speaking, i think its best to tailor your eq settings to your speakers, as they all have a different frequency response.

But welcome anyway.

agreed. since i use high quality stereo speakers, i like to turn the eq off completely and just use the controls on my external amp since that tends to handle those types of speakers better.

Double agreed, it definately depends on the type of music your listening to also. I've only got a Bass and Treble control on my amp, but I still prefer to use them.

It gives a nice bass boost without forgetting the treble areas. I personally don't like Nullsoft's preloaded rock preset, so i made my own. If anyone knows anything better for rock, please let me know!

Left a awile ago and no I have NOT visited Kyles in a year..

i have everything, its the same as i use for my guitar (i have no qualms switching it from my computer to my cabinet whenever i want to play my guitar since its only 4 cables.
