[SPLIT] Authhash Issue With Old v2 DNAS Beta

I'm using serverroom.us as my stream provider, their details on how to obtain a key is out of date and I'd really like a key please.

My station link is:

So if I'm using another party for hosting, how do I get a key?

dazbobaby: you're using a beta version of the v2 DNAS which doesn't support any of the in-DNAS authhash management options. you're using build 7 which is the first beta release which is 18months old and really shouldn't be used now that we have a non-beta release (build 29 at the time of this reply).

so you'll need to upgrade your DNAS or get your hosting provider to do it for you.

if you want to do that for all of the other v2 streams which people are running on the old builds then that would be good as well

or you can install the latest DNAS onto your computer,get an authhash key and then copy it in "Authentication Key",which is located in serverroom.us control panel, under Account->Settings

kosxo: yes that would work but it's going to be better for dazbobaby's hosted DNAS to be updated so it's a) a supported version (not the 1st v2 beta from 18months ago) and b) doesn't involve having multiple setups to do things.

i don't know why they've not upgraded the DNAS as it's not something SHOUTcast can generally push (can try but hosting companies do what they want generally).

all i can say is if you are a paying customer is to contact them and ask / pester them to upgrade it for you (as i doubt you have access to do it).
