Path/filename visibility for modules in playlist
Plugins -> input -> mpeg decoder -> title
Adding similar for the module decoder would make it possible to have the module authors visible in the playlist, in case you sort them in to their own directories, like I do. :) |

i can add title formatting stuff, but it will be hardly useful because mods don't support tagging |

Yeah, but it would be nice to be able to display the path & filename somehow, or even just the actual filename, instead of whatever's written into the Title field of the module.
I always write it into the playlist file (#EXTINF for M3U, or Title= for PLS), but naturally it just changes to the module title once the track starts playing. At the mo, the only way round it is to edit the mod in ModplugTracker (which I've already done for a fair few of them) And I suppose it'll always be this way, 'cos like ya say, mods don't support tags. btw, note the wink smilie in my post above! ![]() |

i don't want any shit like "display-full-path-instead-of-title" just because i've written new API-like title formatting module (see: new in_vorbis, in_vqf, in_midi) and i can quickly add in_mp3-like title formatting to any plugin; but it will look kinda stupid without any field values other than %filename, %path and %title. i'll probably add it to the next in_mod build anyway.
also, lack of mod tagging is going to be a major pain under WA3 (media library shiznit won't work). |

![]() Nice one PP You're a hero! So far, I'm quite fond of using: %title - %filename - %format Though, I think I'll rename them all eventually, so I can just use: %filename - %format Also, the overall quality of the new 2.2.9 beta2 plugin is awesome. Sounds as good as, if not better than modplug now. Yay ![]() Hey, I feel like posting something on the TiS MusicAnswers e-mail list to let everyone know that module support in Winamp is finally fixed, once & for all. This is very good news indeed. Excellent! |

still needs more work. audio quality could be better (linear resampling is not good), but it's finally usable for most people. also, this test build is not final beta2 ('official' ones are on misc_wa.htm).
ps. use [%title - ]%filename - %format |

Okay, I'll keep it shtumm until the final release. Though I bet you'll still continue working on it even after announcing the final version, hehe.
![]() ![]() Hey, and cheers for the tip [%title - ] stops it from displaying a ? when there isn't any title. Cool ![]() Are there any other fields we can use? I've noticed %artist and %extension don't work, just wondering if there's any others I don't know about? Tho for now I'm happy with [%title - ]%filename - %format Most excellent dude ![]() |

![]() %extension will be added in the next release. %comment might work on some files. %artist is implemented, but it does nothing right now (none of supported formats containt artist/composer name). for full syntax manual, see in_vorbis v1.15a title formatting help (help will be added to in_mod in the next release too). |
