upon downloading the new version, 5.4...i encountered this error when trying to open the shoutcast radio:

The media library feature you are attempting to use requires an internet connection. Please make sure you are connected to the internet and try again.

i know i'm connected, i upgraded the version...i can't seem to find the setting that will enable this version to connect to the server. please help.

The latest version of Winamp is 5.541.

In Winamp, try the following
Ctrl+P > General Preferences > make sure 'Internet Connection Settings' correctly reflects your internet connection.

If using a third party firewall, make sure it is giving Winamp full/proper access.

The online services section of the ML is an embedded MsIE session. Try adding the following sites to Internet Explorer's trusted zones
(Microsoft Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options... > Security tab > Trusted Sites icon > Sites... button)

*.winamp.com
*.shoutcast.com
music.aol.com

Try clearing MSIE's cache

i've tried the items you suggested and still nothing. and yes, i do have the latest version. i've also discovered that windows media player is doing the same...however, real player is fine. i normally just use these tools to listen to music and now i can't do that....lol..thanks anyway for your help.
