Language changing

I did read the FAQ's and the forum, but didn't find an answer. I'm on Winamp Pro v5.552, XP Pro SP3.

Question: why isn't there a clear instruction on how to change the Winamp language?

(In the end I found the subfolder Language in de Winamp dir and dubbleclicked the desired language plugin. Not any average end-user will find this solution.)

preferences -> localisation is pretty obvious i thought. also the general trend is most people using language packs are using those from the pre-built installers or are downloading from the site where it'll set it as the correct language pack for you.
