Recently added option in smartview

the recently added view in Winamp currently shows the recently updated files. It would be good if a "recently added" option could be added so files which have recently had their tags updated or imported to iPod not show on the list.

how about:

"Recently Added" is ONLY for files that are actually new,

and

"Recently Updated" are for any files recently updated in some way?

Just wanted to voice my support for this idea. Let's face it, "Recently added" is a total misnomer.

I have two customised smartviews: "Pick of the week" and "Pick of the month" which list new tracks I've rated 5-stars this week/month. Trouble is, they get "spoiled" if I update the tags of older files.

I wholeheartedly 2nd this motion. I've currently switched back to iTunes (much to my dismay), solely because of their "date added" column. It's more than annoying have to remember specific track names/artists after importing mixtape or XLR8R music, stuff like that.

Please work your wonderful magic and get this update included!

I more than agree!! This is the most extreme annoyance! I have always wanted this feature, then it shows up one release! But no! It's not recently added, its recently updated! Useless. How come this isn't on the Winamp 5 wishlist?! Have any devs noticed these posts?! I WILL PURCHASE PRO, JUST for THIS FEATURE!

I wholeheartedly agree. I can't believe there's not a date added field in the winamp database. I don't think it'd take that much processing or code.....

I have 1,000 songs in my "recently updated" smart view, and it's only set to a week. It helps to be able to "locate" new stuff but it's drowned by everything else I've listened to in the same time period.

The old "Recently Added" view has now become "Recently Modified"
and is available via the Presets dropdown in the "Add Smart View" dialog.
The new "Recently Added" view now uses Date Added instead of Date Modified.

Thanks for the heads-up MrSinatra. This is exactly what I wanted.

The feature request will be fulfilled with the release of Winamp v5.7.
