Winamp VQF plugin?

Just realized I have some files they play on VLC but not Winamp. Does such a plugin exist?

I don't get it. There are Winamp plugins for most anything. Why not VQF?

that answer was a trigger for you to start a search instead of asking first.
If you use google , it's seek and you shall find.

but keep in mind that manny plugins are old , not supported anymore or won't work with the most recent versions of Winamp.

I had tried before posting the thread. Basically all dead links. So I couldn't even try the old plugins to see if they work.

I had seen that. And if you download the Winamp3 plugin it shows

Note: - cnv_vqf.dll goes into winamps/wacs
- tvqdec.dll goes to winamp3 directory, not into winamps/wacs

There is no Wac directory now in winamp 5

once in a very far past there were plugins for just about everything but than Winamp/ Nullsoft was sold and sold again and again

development stopped and slowly everything ended
Nowdays almost no development and those kids that made a plugin are now older, married and living in the real world instead of living on the net.

True. And we're the ones stuck in the past using Winamp

Still, people make stuff for just about anything. You would think someone somewhere would say "let's make a vqf plugin". After are there are Winamp plugins that play video game music extracted from SNES and NES games.

Update: Just to try I installed the Winamp2 VQF decoder and to my shock that actually worked!!! WOW!

Looked in the info of one VQF via Winamp and saw this, my God what a relic from the past

Sadly I think VLC runs VQF better than the old Winamp plugin (no shock).
