Ok.......that is all what I wanted .Some more contribution from pop-lovers ........like some more voice of boy bands(Sorry if you don’t like the word Jess, I love it ........and actually, the word itself has some attractions).

So ya, again the matter comes.......that they don't write the songs or don't sing the songs in concerts.Ok, its true.

But why do you all think it’s a negative thing? Do you think only you’ve noticed it? All the fans of them don't know it? As Jess also told that its easily noticed that sometimes they don’t sing songs and everyone also knows that they don’t write the songs..........actaully they don’t need to write..........they have got other talents to show.So its not a negative thing at all &we don’t care ‘bout it.

The people know that they don't write the songs.........still the fans try to buy the music. The fans also know that sometimes(I'm telling it over & over ......not always........sometimes........I can show you lots of live concerts where the bands do sing live) they don't sing in the concerts but still the fans try their best to get the tickets. To go there ........to see them and to hear the music(no matter its live or recorded,it belongs to them)

So the question is why? Why the fans do that? Well, you guys will never understand that because you are not their fans. But you gotta admire one thing, if the majority prefer pop music..........there has to be something special that makes it special.......something special that you guys have missed.

All pop music is good music but all good music isn't pop music

what's special about a couple of jumping monkeys on a stage???

btw majority prefer pop music - are you still living in the dark ages???? most charts nowday's are not alone about sales but also about airplay and off course the compagnies behind the artist.
The ones who have the most money to spend see their singers/band end up real high in the charts ( it's all about money- not about talent)

/me glad i'm missing out on the "special thing" i'd rather listen to bach, beethoven, tchaikovsky, couperin, handel or whatever classical composser over any of the stuff apola likes

Each Thursday a new show on Celtica Radio with Darkwave music.

It's about music. MUSIC. Not about whether or not they can dance or look pretty. If people go to concerts even if they're recorded then they're going to see the people, not hear the music, because they can listen to that at home. Live music is usually different and more intense. If it's recorded it removes the whole principal. Now, if a song is already made then what is the use of recording someone pretty on a my-first-karaoke. It doesn't improve on the old song, at all. Anyway, i digress.

You are about image, aesthetics, and this is universally agreed to be shallow.

It's a shallow trait for shallow people...

Heh, subject nicely changed.

Oh by the way, Iron Maiden 'bollocksed' all the rumours of that being the final tour, and album for that matter. Damn good in my book. Fantastic concert.

Glad you enjoyed it Raz. A rock gig's a rock gig. Just a shame you went to that one. Old Joke - I wouldn't see Iron Maiden if they were playing at the bottom of my garden (well I'd go down to tell them all to clear off). My prejudice looks after me well.

But Iron Maiden come with Bruce Dickinson. It's like an ugly girl with a beautiful body (or a beautiful girl with an ugly body).

It could've been a bit of both. I do recall Robert rummaging through Siouxsie's handbag for the lipstick. Then he'd skip off to the men's to administer. Dear of him.

Don't ya think all this bashing and mouthing off is a little childish. I mean, just because someone has different views on what they consider good music then you do, that doesn't give anyone the right to get huffy about it. I know I don't have the same views on music then the rest of you but I respect what you like and what you listen to. I would think that it would be only right to recieve that same respect towards me and what I like.

Jess

we all have different taste in music and we respect eachothers taste but if somebody ( apola) doesn't respect our taste and can only talk about boy lips sinc groups it's getting on our nerves.
If apola opened up a little bit to other styles in music and kept her mouth shut about "her topic"for a while she would recieve the same respect anyone else get's around here.

she brings it down on herself by keeping attacking the forums with her addiction. she's narrow minded about anything else.

spaceplayradio, got to disagree with you. This is a forum about music and boybands 'do' music, not my idea of music, but there you go.

I adopt a softy-softy approach. She'll come to her senses eventually, its a fase she's going through. Mind you, some women at work keep asking me to get the latest Timberlake cd etc for 'em...

So, all music welcome, not everyone will agree, but we are all different.

Right, I'm off to listen to "Kings of Cajun Vol 3 : 16 More Stomps from the Swamps"....see, different.

It's been said that I could start an arguement in an empty room.....I see no reason to disbelieve this.

My problem is that 99.9% of apola's posts involve some reference to boy "bands," even in threads that do not even pertain to any type of music at all. If I can take one of a person's posts, and replace all other posts they've made with it, and it changes absolutely nothing, then I have no respect for them.
