Using bluetooth speakers

Hello,

Is there any plugins for selecting if playback goes through your computer speakers or bluetooth speakers?

Is there any bluetooth speaker support other than bluetooth remote?

Thanks

If the bluetooth speaks are shown as a sound card to Windows, then you select the correct device in your output plugin config: Prefs -> Plugins -> Output -> Configure.

Assuming you're on Windows 7, go into "Devices and Printers" to see if your speakers are shown there. You can right-click, go into the "Properties" and under the "Hardware" tab make sure that it has some audio output function, perhaps even doubleclick and check the advanced options for it.

If all that seems ok, head into "Sound" and look at your "Playback" devices. The "Properties" for it will depend on the device/driver, have a flip through those and potentially set the playback device as "Default" at least to test.

What's the make/model of the speakers? Were they automagically detected and installed, or did you have to download some sketchy Chinese driver?

As listed above you should be able to just select the BT speaker from your output plugin(Direct Sound Out for most).

If you are using Primary Sound Driver you may even be able to switch on the fly using Windows it self.

Once paired your speakers should show up like these(with a different name).

Just select the ones you want OR try primary and switch on the fly by setting the default for Windows.

Being able to select one sound device in Winamp is great to allow music to play on one set if speakers while letting Windows play all other sounds on another set(maybe monitor speakers or something). I wish more software allowed selective output like this.
