Authhash does not stick in config file

We have a very simple config-file:
------------------------------------------------
logfile=logs\sc_serv.log
w3clog=logs\sc_w3c.log
banfile=control\sc_serv.ban
ripfile=control\sc_serv.rip
publicserver=always
password=XXXXXXX
adminpassword=XXXXXXX
maxUser=1024
streamauthhash_1=G9bxedAkYGm1GH6lebC8
--------------------------------------------------

And this works fine until we need to restart or reboot the windows server. Then we have to create a new authhash every time. The server is behind a firewall, but port 8000 is opened for accessing the SHOUTcast server. It seems that after restarting the old streamathhash is no longer valid.

first thing - do not make anymore authhashes for the moment as i've just spent 30mins clearing up all of the duplicates which have been generated.

secondly the one you've posted has now been deleted as posting it publically compromises the authhash.

with the issue of it not being there on restart, you need to make sure that you have write permission for the folder where the config file is saved (not knowing what OS you're using makes that tricky to suggest to how to check) and that it is correctly saved into the file before the restart.

also what version of the v2 DNAS are you using as there were some issues in build 27/28 with the authhash not being correctly saved.

and how are you choosing the config file as it almost sounds like something is resetting the file as part of a start-up script / account reset, etc.
