I have had winamp since 1999 on the same pc running windows 98 all these years no problem to speak off. I tried to update to 5.5 now I have problems
The winamp exe file is lilnked to missing export shell32Dll
shgetfolderpathw Message I get when trying to open it. I uninstalled four times and downloaded the same no luck. I'm up a creek and don't even have a bloody boat.

Winamp 5.5 is not compatible with Win98.
Read more about that HERE and what version you can use with Win98, and how you can obtain that version.
