Dear LStratmann,
Did you try the method I discovered and made the advertisements start again in august/September and also a few days ago? Try it, please. It worked like a charm twice for us. By the way, it looks like we are talking about 2 different problems. 1) advertisements stopped suddenly like last summer, and a trick can let impressions start again 2) Number of impressions broadcasted by targetspot/shoutcast is close to zero. The number of impressions is ==impressively== low... depending from the radio station and related number of listeners, it goes from 1 up to 45 per day... so basically nothing... Hello LStratmann,
Even a simple restart at the end of a song should be enough and listeners will barely notice it, if you do it between 1 song and the following one... We did it leaving 1 minute of difference between the stop and the start in order to get the 2 operations having different timestamp, but it can be not necessary (not sure about it). Without that trick, we would be still waiting for targetspot guys to reply and fix it. By the way, the 4 guys getting delivered the messages in August NEVER replied to us. Very professional behavior. So, not sure if it is worth it to wait for them to help you out. |

I just started with Shoutcast Business and I'm using their planer.
I set up everything correct and the planner shows me, that there are 2 ad-breaks played every hour. But when I look at the targetspot dashboard, there alre just ~ 2000 requests, but not a single allocation or impression. Can anybody explain me, what exactly "request" means. Allocation and Impression is explained on the targetspot homepage but not, whats the difference between requests and allocations. |

I understand the request to mean that it was "requested" that advertising be played.
Example: I listen to your stream and I then request 2x per hour that I want to hear advertising. But since you have no impressions, no advertising was played. I hope you understand what I mean by that. |

Dear LStratmann,
During the last 3 days we started seeing advertisements back on the air. In 3 days, the graph shows a daily increase of the amount of impressions/allocations (15-20% more every day). Let's hope this is a good sign... It can be also an increase due to higher request of advertisements during the week end? Anyway, from the targetspot report pages we see the fill rate goes from a miserable 2% up to a poor 18%, and 1 month ago it was between 40 and 50%. Hello,
Very few Adv/Impressions being played... so as first step, we reduced the 2 minutes Advert: - Advert: files from 2 minutes to 1 minute, just not to bother listeners with those short audio files just for nothing. Let's hope things will get better. One important thing we are going to observe, are payments or Adv/Impressions we played in August/September/October/November and December 2020. Let us hope everything will go as planned/expected and committed. |
