Does old version of winamp work on Win10

Hi

I am planning to upgrade one of my PCs to Win 10 and I was wondering if the older versions of winamp (5.5 and 5.6) still work on Win 10? Basically, I simply use the winamp to play music from my pc and the winamp media library. I do not use any other features.

Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

AFAIK they should work on Windows 10

they do, but what reason do you have to use old versions of winamp?
if you've got an issue with newer releases, please remember that you can uncheck the things in the installer that you dont need.

Thank you both for your feedback.

Actually, I opted to use the older version as i only use it for the player and media library. When I downloaded the latest release from the official website, I noticed that the filename claims to be a beta version, and I to be honest I do not like installing beta versions.

you can still grab the latest stable release (5.666 build 3516) here

I couldn't tell you about newer versions because I'm still using Winamp 2.95 on Windows 10 from 2003 and it works like a charm.
