I was just about to post that storey from the Beeb.

Ah well you can have this version too.

BTW I have a cousin called Micheal Moore. And he's pretty pissed off.

Two sides of the same coin. Two management teams bidding for control, the CEO job of Slavery, Incorporated! The truth is out there in front of you, but they lay out this buffet of lies. Anyone with any intelligence doesn't need to see that movie,
to know it's nothing but propaganda.
Moore even admitted on "This Week with Geroge Stephanopoulus" last Sunday,
that it's an op ed piece, made to influence the voters to get rid of Bush.

Look, I'm not much of a Bush fan and I didn't vote for him, but, I refuse to see this movie. Michael Moore is nothing more than a pompus windbag who's playing on others' fears and grief to further his own misrepresenting agenda.

I'm not so much defending him, I'm moreso pushing for you people to go find out the truth for yourself and be more open to other people's opinions. You're not against that are you papadoc, shyshy, cabowabo? Listening to others? Absorbing what people have to say instead of immediately pushing it out of your head makes you a more understanding and open person. I'm sure we are all in agreement that it never did any harm to really LISTEN to someone, aren't we? What will it hurt? Hmm? Or have you all already made your mind up and are too proud to re-think the situation? It's not a bad thing to question what's going on in the world, and to think that it is makes YOU wrong.

3 men get a drink in a pub, and they each pay $10 (so that's $30).. then they discuss it and figure this is too expensive, and they complain... the owner thinks "okay, i'll give them back $5" and tells an employee to gives them back... the employee silently goes "gee, 5 divided by 3 is hard, i'll keep 2 and give each $1 back"... so in the end they each paid $9.... but 3*9 = 27, plus the $2 to the employee = $29... where did the last dollar go?

Ok, I had my drink, I can see clearly now (with one eye shut).

You should not add the $2 to the $27, you subtract it.

30 - 5 = 3*(10-1) - 2
25 = 3 * 9 - 2
25 = 27 - 2
25 = 25

Good mind teaser!

The film failed to be given a rating less than R yesterday. Several of the boardmembers who decide ratings did say that they plan to bring their children to see it this weekend.

I feel sorry for the closed minded masses who think that a film can influence decision. Are you the same people who blame music for violence?

Only one thing to add to this:

Christopher Hitchens is a columnist for Vanity Fair. His latest book, Blood, Class and Empire: The Enduring Anglo-American Relationship, is out in paperback.

Vanity Fair is a major donator to the Republican Party if that even suprises you. The other thing is all the clips in the movie are real, have not been overdubbed and the people in it are the people who are in our Government so as stupid as this movie might be (ain't seen it), what was said and done is what was said and done in real live.

Of course who the hell needs this movie, we've all got Fox News and CNN to give us all the propaganda we need and it's free.

The Democratic party, Michael Moore and the liberal media love to twist words and use them out of context. It's my biggest gripe about these people. How can anyone support these openly deceitful people? It's just amazing to me. It all boils down to one thing for Michael Moore et al, they're Bush haters. They're full of such hate that they'll do anything, twist anything and say anything to further their sick cause. It's pathetic. Remember the Bush speech the Dems put in their campaign ad that was not the complete sentence and was taken out of context? This is just one example. Michael Moore is another. These people are sad human beings. All they care about is themselves and how they can further their wacked ideas.

Hell, I think all political parties do that. Republicans have alot of 'friends' in the entertainment and broadcast industries and Democrats have alot of 'friends' in the radio and print media. I think that's why I change the channel anytime one of those BS political ads come on since they're ALL full of crap. I'll vote on who I think is the best for the job and not who someones political party tells me is. The movies ain't going to do that, the idiots on the news channels ain't going to do that but hopefully it wont boil down to some weak wristed person in Florida who cant punch a hole in paper this time to decide who the President will be.

Germ, honey, I had the unfortunate to catch a Michael Moore interview on tv about a year ago, and ever since then I've had the same opinion of him that I posted above. The man's an egotistical jerk, I remember watching him throw a hissy-fit that the guy who interviewed him started quoting some bad reviews for Bowling for Columbine. The guy was even a fan of his!

Besides, what does Michael Moore has to say that hasn't already been/ is being said right now? He wants people to treat him as if he's the one that has discovered all the secrets of the government.

As of now, I'm done here. Michael Moore really isn't worth the effort of my fingers typing.

Michael Moore's anti-Bush film breaks the single-day records at the two New York theaters.

If a director wants to make a pro-Bush movie, I'll be moore than happy to see it too.
However, I don't see anyone being stupid enough to try to make Bush look good.

No I am not against that Germ.
But there are times when common sense tells you
that something is not kosher.
To me, this is one of those times.
I don't need to see this film to know exactly what it's about.
I base that on 4 years of constant hatred from Michael Moore,
4 years of constant Bush bashing from Michael Moore,
and 4 years of interviews I've seen and read from Michael Moore.
And I base that on interviews with Moore about this movie.
So as you can see, I've not shut my eyes or ears to him.
But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what this movie is.
An "op ed piece" made for the sole purpose to sway an election.

Quote:

I guess you're talking about Michael Moore and his followers.
They're the only ones who think this film can influence decisions.
(At the least that is their hope).
He's publicly stated this is the goal of his movie.
But I'm not falling for it.
I try to base my decisions on real facts, real events, and how
those facts and events are handled.
Not in the rhetoric of someone who stands in front of a camera on the news,
or by a movie like this by someone like Michael Moore.

I'm not really sure what Michael Moore thinks about music and violence though.
Maybe he'll make a movie about it

I know what Moore is about. I know what kind of an asshole he is. I would go see the movie for free, but I certainly will not put one penny into that lard ass's pocket to see anything he has done. If that is being closed minded, then so be it!

No its not a bad thing to listen to people. Its a bad thing to take something to heart from listening to a one sided point of view. In order to have a well rounded outlook, you need to listen to informed opinion from both sides then balance things in your own mind. Someone screaming the praises of an asshole like Moore is simply going to cause rational people to ignore the screamer.

I don't see where I was wrong, Moore is an asshole, plain and simple. I kept an open mind about him until I saw his display at the Oscars. That gelled it in my mind.
I also don't see where I was wrong in saying you defended him.
