Sequel to Taxi Driver

Scorsese and De Niro plan Taxi Driver sequel

http://film.guardian.co.uk/news/stor...404265,00.html

It's not certain it'll happen, but I have a feeling it's bound to be a flop. I associate Robert de Niro with comedy now and films that are entertainment rather than things that will become cult-films. Particularly since he's done stuff like like Meet the Parents and now Meet the Fockers in recent years.

I saw an ad on a bus today. About a sequel to The Mask. That was fucking ages ago, it's bound to be complete and utter shit.

Bah humbug.

edit: sorry to have put it in the wrong forum...

De Niro is good, but I think his last exceptionally good role was in Goodfellas.

Spoiler: Iris (Jodie Foster) is now a Senator running for President. When she gets blackmailed by someone who knows about her past (Dennis Hopper) Travis Bickle (Robert De Niro) digs up his weapons collection. But this time he isn't alone, instead he gets help fom his pals (Chris Rock, Robin Williams and Jackie Chan).

It already is shit (or looks to be that way.) It sucks, but sequels are always about money, thats the only reason they are made, is because the first film did well so the logical step is to make a number 2. Rest assured, any movies I make in Hollywood in the not too distant future will not have sequels unless I explicitly say so. Most sequels suck anyways (particularly now days.)
