My equalizer doesn't work
Does anyone know why I can't get my eq to work? I adjust the levels but it doesn't affect the output. I have Win98 with a generic sound card, non-SoundBlaster or whatever. Any help? Thanks

Have you check to make sure your equalizer was enabled?

Yes, the EQ is checked in the Main Window, and I have the Equalizer window showing. I think it's either a Preference setting, or I have a crappy sound card. I'm hoping to find a way to solve the problem without replacing the sound card.

Check out the equalizer on this page. Look at where the 'On' button is on there, make sure that on your copy of Winamp that it is lit up.

Logmarithic VS Linear
Try checking the Linear EQ option under the DECODER tab in your Nullsoft MPEG DECODER under your input plug ins.
Linear is a lot more evenly distributed difference, however logmarithic is the default. |
