sc_trans hadn't been publically updated in 3+years though there were internal builds that never saw the light of day outside of specific situations. so the writing had been on the wall for a while on what was likely to happen with sc_trans anyway.

and due to the sale of Winamp and SHOUTcast, it's not viable to keep sc_trans available as it needs to be re-written to not use Fraunhofer code libraries (which AOL had licensed and we have not) and that is just not something we're in a position to do any time soon.

so that is why you a) cannot download it and b) cannot obtain an unlock code.

plus it's not like it's at all hard to find downloads and unlock codes if you really want to use sc_trans. otherwise you should look at some of the many other 3rd party options which are available, you can even use some of the Icecast tools to do it as well.

and finally, SHOUTcast is not dieing, you're just focusing on one thing as part of the whole native and 3rd party ecosystem that makes up SHOUTcast. and if it was dieing, would we have provided a new website and are starting work on the DNAS again...? that doesn't sound like a platform which is dieing to me.

i suspect your translated message hasn't quite said what you were wanting to say (as it doesn't make complete sense to me).
