Plugins not loading

Hello,

I read a previous post which talked about using various plugins to avoid needing the REALameOne program. I followed the directions below from http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....55#post1158255 but it won't load RA files. Yes, I have added the extension names, went to file associations and selected all, and I edited the tara.ini file as instructed to.

I am using Windows XP and Winamp 5

"Input Formats
- Real Audio and Video (with no extra plugins)
Play Real Media format files in Winamp with no extra plug-ins. If you have Real One or Real Player already and hate it, feel free to uninstall it first, it will no longer be needed. First install Real Alternative. Second add the proper extensions to the DirectShow decoder:
Preferences (Ctrl-P) > Plugins > Input > Double Click "Nullsoft DirectShow Decoder..." > add ";RA;RM" (no quotes) to the end of the extension list.
Note: this does not work for .RAM playlist files or rstp:// streams, use the Tara plugin instead (just remove ra & rm from the extension list in tara.ini)"

If RealOne is still installed,
just use the Tara plugin to play all RA / RAM / RM / SMI content.
No need to edit tara.ini

Apparently, there are some issues with in_dshow and RealAlternative.
I got it to play RM files ok,
and some RA files, but not all.

Main thing to check is whether the RA files you're trying to play
are in fact just RAM streaming playlists.
It will play the actual RA file, but not if it's a playlist file which just links to the actual RA file.

I ended up just adding RM to in_dshow extension list
and letting Tara deal with all other Real Formats.

Another issue you might face
is if you installed Real Alternative
without uninstalling RealOne p.o.s. first.

Realone is uninstalled, was uninstalled before installing RealAlternative. So, yes it was installed and I have tried going to a bunch of sites testing RA, RM, and RAM files. Nothing happens.

On another issue, (PLEASE DON'T CONFUSE THIS WITH THE ABOVE PARAGRAPH, completely different attempt) when I go to www.atomfilms.com or www.cbs.com am I supposed to be able to view footage in winamp 5 with real alternative installed, tara installed, and RealOne uninstalled?
