Best Winamp 2.x Skin Ever???

Now that Winamp 3 is out, and the skins will surely make my jaw drop, I'm kinda curious to see what kind of skins you guys think were the best ever made. Please, take a second to chime in with your vote, it would be much appreciated...

I dont think it's time to write off wa2 skins just yet.

Just because wa3 final has been released doesnt mean everyone should just stop skinning wa2, as i think it will still have a huge fan base.

This isnt the end of an era many are thinking it is....

LOL, I know that, I'm actually sticking with Winamp 2.X and I just wanted to know what beautiful skins I might have missed over the years.

I won't use Winamp 3 till its gets to about 3.25 or something, till then, I just wanna see if I can make my trusty Winamp 2 look even better.

For top quality skins, check out the top staff rated category (if its working, theres been some site updates that may cause problems)

My personal top 10 (in no specific order)

Nucleo - Alienmind
Nucleo - Nlog
Kriptoner - 73
Drew Munsell - Bluetechamp
Bobo - Component
Bobo - Lightspeed
Neko/raydream - Fe3o3
Neko/raydream - TiH20 Equilibrium

"Fallen Angel" is great !

Breedamp organica is also very nice

And maybe act II finale by Raj.

PS The summer version of liquid paradise by ampburner... and the wa postcard by cyana ..

(that could be my favourite for that season, lol) you can find them both on the summer skins page, if it still exists..

Amazing how many people there prefer the baseskin. What a sad little world we live in.

Some people just want Winamp to play music. I myself found my favourite skin (Handwritten) nearly a year ago and I haven't changed it since. Whatever floats your boat...

Well, I have to say this list could get quite long (except I'm no good with names).

What's on currently is: 883bionic (original green) because green is my favourite colour and this skin is fautless (i haven't found any)

For a list of skins I've added to my deviantART favourites: http://skinme.deviantart.com/favorites (or http://skinme.deviantart.com/favorites/manage for a textlist)

jocpoc is a great artist. so is cleanup, bobo, peacemaker, neko, atmo (though his skin's aren't to my personal taste), forever chaos, cazsius, um... argh! i'm not good with names -- don't be upset if i've forgotten you -- you know I love you all.

My favourite skin of all time though has to be my own Connect-x (first dot in sig) because it's so satisfying when you finish your first proper skin.

Nini, I couldn't find the postcard one. The two skins from that competition that I've seen, ampburner's SummerBreeze, and your one, I both really like, and I've always wanted to see the rest of the entries. Do you have a link or something where I can see the rest? Who won the contest, by the way?

Wow, Mischa's skins is really something else (great Easter Egg!). It's a real shame she doesn't skin anymore (ditto for ambpurner). There were quite a few great skins there actually (I have a lot of respect for Mrs. Bladez as a skinner, but IMO I don't think hers should have got 2nd, actually - that skin was not one of her best - and some of the other contenders were terrific.)

Nothing wrong with loving your own skins- i believe most people make skins because they want to have something that is uniquely attuned to their tastes.

A reprint of the one's put in the other article

Auriga - by Kinwashi
Mynamp - by Myn
Aquair - Neko (Is it a stereo or is it a coincidence of curves in space?)
Act2Finale - Raj (pure design- very rare nowadays)
eIndia - Steve Moss
3dom - Captain Slug (Best EQ ever)
Yellow Submarine - Kevin Bonzarelli
Soliloquy - Inspirator (My all time favorite. It's amazing art deco sensiblities humble this poor unworthy skinner)

I would add to that list spyamp 1, not one of my favorites, but definitely one of the top skins of all time judging by how many times it has been ripped.

but Raj I/O Amp 2k S.E. was so good that it almost made me stop skinning because i couldn't come up with anything nearly as "yeah" as it.

it's almost divine...
