An unanswered question...

A friend recently bought shoutcast hosting for me... was that completely necessary?

Couldnt I have done it for free... Im so lost...

Does anyone have a radio that is completely free?
Sorry if i sound like an idiot

your own internet connection will only hold x amount of listeners depending on what it is...
and yes you could have done it for nothing but it is quite involved

with hosting you will be able to have more people connect to you at a better quality without buffering and is a nice easy option with support.

I only want 25 listeners, would i be able to do it on my computer. My computer is fairly new, and fairly fast.

Someone offered me a year of hosting if I did something for them.. I did it, they bought me ONE MONTH. I dont know what to do now... I cant possibly pay for it.

the short answer for that is no

its not about the speed of the computer its about the speed of the internet upload...
