Shoutcast 2 error on KODI add-on

Running Shoutcast 2 as a KODI [formerly XBMC] add-on.
See my system configuration at the bottom.

Getting this error message:
Kodi – “One or more items failed to play. Check the log file for details.”

I've spent about 30 minutes searching this forum - so now I need help:

A) where is the log file on Raspian [a Debian version of Linux]
B) how can I get Shoutcast 2 to work - please

System Stats:
RaspberryPi 2B, 8gb SD card, Official RPi 7" screen.
Linux 8 Raspian-Jesse, kernel: Linux 4.1.17-v7+;
Kodi 15.2; Skin = Re-Touched
The Pi connects USB wireless to Home WiFi
Home network has Netgear 104 9TB NAS connected as smb://server/

You are trying to play a shoutcast stream in KODI? If yes which codec is using the source of the stream where you get the issue - AAC+ or mp3?

@neralex - thanks for the reply. Yes ai am using the Shoutcast2 KODI add-in. I have not idea about which codec is using the source of the stream. All I can tell you is that a pop-up "opening stream" shows and remains with zero progress for 20 seconds, then I get the error message.

I'm not a LINUX person, but the Raspian-Jesse OS comes with a file manager.
If you can tell me the path to the LogFile - I will upload it to the cloud and post the link.

This add-in is not a SHOUTcast server. This is only a way to listen to the stations of the SHOUTcast radio directory. You have to ask the developer of the add-in where are the logs located. There exists diferent types of codecs which can be used to feed a stream. Maybe you have add some config-settings in KODI and/or in the add-in.

Usually Kodi stores all Logs in a folder
try searching in this directories:
Linux: ~/.kodi/kodi.log
XBian: /home/xbian/.kodi/temp/kodi.log
Raspberry Pi: /home/pi/.kodi/kodi.log

I think there should be something like: /raspian/.kodi/temp/kodi.log
