popping + skipping
Hi,
I currently have some problems with a popping sound that occurs whenever I change tracks/MP3's. I have winamp version 2.77 with the aO user interface plugin, using waveOut v2.3, (i've tried directsound v2.0, although it got rid of the popping problem, it would skip every time I switch programs, I have directx v8.0, planning to upgrade to 8.0a whenever I get the chance) I'm currently running Windows 2000, a P3 933Mhz, 512MB of ram, SoundBlaster Live! Value w/ the latest win2k Drivers, and my MP3s are stored on a ATA66 7200RPM Hard drive using FAT32. I have tried tweaking with the buffer and piority settings in the waveout plugin, it didn't help. Does anyone know how to fix this, or direct me to a thread that has the solution? Or does anyone know a different output plugin I can use? Thanks. |

Does this happen when you disable the third-party interface plug-in?
Have you made sure there is not a file called GEN_NOMAD.DLL stored in your Winamp\Plugins folder? |
