Starting a Radio Station on Linux OS

I am a pastor of a small church wanting to possibly start an internet radio station as an outreach ministry. But I have a Linux OS. I went through the steps to register and create my radio station but now don't know what I need to do. It says something about "automation software or dedicated encoder" and I don't know what that means. Kinda wondering if this is going to be too complicated to get going.
My router is a BEC Technologies. I have an upload speed of 0.65 mbps. No firewall. And my internet type is Adsl. I have a large inventory of Christian music on my computer already. Can you help me know what I need to do next or if this will be too much trouble?

Some people who ask questions on internet forums that have no relevance to the forum they ask on, can be real dicks. Do you kiss your parishioners with that tongue?
