Winamp volume is reduced

I upgraded to Winamp v5.65. I played my music .wav and .mp3 even an .avi video, but they're all playing at a reduced volume. Approx 6-10dB lower than before. The Youtube versions of these play at full volume. My Win mixer panel shows all at 100%. Running Win Vista sp2. Do you know what settings, .ini files, etc are affecting the sound level on Winamp ? ~Bob

vista might have the feature where it turns down winamp when chat calls are received. if so, that needs disabled. also, try switching your output plugin to wav out, and then back to directsound out. might help.

also, I would convert any .wav files to FLAC or ALAC, unless u have a specific reason not to.

BUG #1 = Winamp skips short tracks
Wish #1 = Multiple Column Sorting
Wish #2 = Add TCMP/Compilation editing
