Shoutcast -> Auto Start up -> Shut down code

Hello,

I'll hope that some can help me. A few days ago I installed Shoutcast.1.9.8-server on my Ubuntu Linux 8.04.1-server (with webmin 1.530).

I succesfully added it to Start boot-up-on-Start-list. In the START-section I fill in ( the Shoutcast-files are in the folder /ROOT ):

cd /root
.sc_serv &

But, I don't know what i do have to fill in the STOP-section. Can someone tell me what I do have to fill in?

Thanks A Lot,
PeterJ

There should be some example daemon stop/start scripts in your /etc/init.d/ directory. Start there.

You can try this script here --> http://forum.loudcity.net/viewtopic.php?id=3680

Ok that script was build to start 3 instance of Shoutcast but you can simply modify it for 1 instance. Simply remove those lines:
code:

CONFIG2="/home/shoutcast/sc_serv2.conf"
CONFIG3="/home/shoutcast/sc_serv3.conf"

and these lines:
code:

$DAEMON $CONFIG2 > /dev/null 2>&1 &
$DAEMON $CONFIG3 > /dev/null 2>&1 &

Then you can call the stript with parameter start / stop / restart
