No ID3 tag and XML problems after server restart?
Hello,
I got some serious problems with my ID3 tag and remote XML stat viewing. I try to explain the problem: I was busy with reconfiguring the servers. After the reconfiguring (restart the server) i can't see any ID3 tag anymore in my shoutcast server or winamp. I tryed some old configs and settings but nothing help me out. For a example look at: http://alpha.streamplus.net:9393/ Current Song: ??? Maybe someone has a solution for this problem? Thank you. Kind regards, |

I'd say look to the source app. (WinAMP+DSP?) -- it is responsible for getting the track info to the DNAS. There's nothing you can do to the DNAS (config-wise) to either make it show or not show track titles.
/* v2 HTML5 / Player test pages DigitalMixNYC, DigitalMixNYCbx | DNAS Status: Now Playing js codes (scaststatus_X.php) | PortForward.com | Upload/Download Speed Test | No-IP.com: Free Dynamic DNS | In the YP | dnasDir */ |

Thank you for your quick reaction,
I tryed winamp and i use normaly sam3. Don't forget it works before, i press on kill server, and start the server again. Thats all! Very weird. I do this all in 5 secs. I tryed also another thing: Stream to a server that was allready running and that works fine! So i restarted also that server and after the restart this server also quits viewing the ID3 tag.... |

5 secs........ The DSP only sends a track title update message to the DNAS upon a track transition [REQ: /admin.cgi] -- but the DNAS sends track title METAinfo to listeners every 8192 bytes [metainterval=], and a YP update [yp-tch] every 5 minutes.
Chack your DNAS consoles and logs to see if all of the source to DNAS "interactions" are occurring... So, that means that if your were playing a 1 hour MP3 in WinAMP, and your were 3 seconds into it, the next time the DSP would send a track update to the DNAS would be in one hour -3 secs. I don't know if this is part of your issue (I noticed the history is also empty), just something to consider in debugging your problem. /* v2 HTML5 / Player test pages DigitalMixNYC, DigitalMixNYCbx | DNAS Status: Now Playing js codes (scaststatus_X.php) | PortForward.com | Upload/Download Speed Test | No-IP.com: Free Dynamic DNS | In the YP | dnasDir */ |

But where can i debug that problem?
When i look to the shoutcast admin. log i see only : <04/15/06@04:16:38> [yp_tch] yp.shoutcast.com touched! And that people are connected or disconnecting. Maybe somebody else want to restart there system (shoutcast server). Because i think it's a shoutcast problem. Thank you. |
