You could use one of those services that host them for you.

databases piss all over flat file formats. if you can't find one you like and customise it, write your own or shut up.

I didn't know it was possible to have a forum with no database.

It's possible, but it would just require writing everything into plain text files, or something like that.

so, how you count:
- Post count.
- number of members.
- number of forums
- directories.
- ...

A database is just an API with a handy query tool, usually SQL. It's easy to create your own wrapper that works on text files and provides a common interface. You just have to read and write stuff from a text file.

Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Check out the Kitty though

Kitty

LMAO

~

em btw It would help if you stop using Frontpage.
You can write all of that h ref code like this;
code:

<p align="center"><font color="Put color hex here"
size="put size of font here"
face="put name of font here">
<a href="http://nuke.danzsite.com">ASP Nuke</font></a>
</p>

Replacing all this;
code:

<p align="center">
<applet code="fphover.class" codebase="./" width="120" height="24">
<param name="color" value="#000080">
<param name="hovercolor" value="#0000FF">
<param name="textcolor" value="#FFFFFF">
<param name="effect" value="glow">
<param name="url" valuetype="ref" value="http://pork.danzsite.com">
<param name="text" value="Max Web Portal">
</applet></p>

Which is just an abject mess and not needed and doesn't work in most browsers.
Go here to Learn W3C World Wide Web Consortium And I suggest you miss any thing below html 4.01 - Start there and then work towards XHTML 1.1 and accompaning .CSS 2.0.
Most older sites built in anything less than HTML 4.01 STRICT will jusyt about cease to work in the next few years as code becomes more and more depreceated or just look a complee mess as most stuff is not supported any more.

edit#3 oh yeah you 'll need the img srcing code as well for your image if you use one

Like this
code:

<img src="path to image/name of img" height="" width="">

that go's after the
code:
<h ref="">
bit then close it with the </a> tag and </p> tag. using the image attribute you can make your own buttons as images and src them to your page.

No. The very concept of that is stupid.
