White noise while playing FLAC

Sorry if this issue's already been covered in the FAQ, I couldn't find it anywhere.

I'm using winamp 5.621 and I have Nullsoft FLAC Decoder v2.4 installed. yet whenever I play FLAC files, the playback sounds interrupted and abrupt, kinda like white noise. I tried playing the same files on windows media player and it worked just fine.

any help appreciated!

how did u get WMP to play flac?

what other plugins do u have? post your onefornunz list.

I didn't need to anything, it just plays flac fine... (using windows media player 12)

what happens when u uninstall chronotron and audioscrobbler? do the flacs play fine then?

alright, I uninstalled chronotron and the problem was gone, FLACs played smoothly. then I tried re-installing it, and once I clicked "configure active plugin" the white noise came back.

am I really the only one facing this issue? I don't wanna have to stop using chronotron, it's so useful :/ is there maybe a similar plugin which I can use as an alternative?

i have no idea, what does it do?

try contacting the author and see if he'll fix it.

yeah, guess i'll give it a shot.
and it's a plugin that can change the pitch and tempo of songs. I didn't have any problems with it back when I was using previous versions of winamp.
