Need help with skins

I just recently downloaded Winamp and only have one problem. Whenever I download a skin my plaeyer won't recognize them. I noticed that the skins save as WAL. files, while the ones that came with it our WSZ. files, does this have anything to do with it? I changed the downloaded WAL.files to WSZ. extensions but Winamp still didn't recognize them as skins. Anyone know what's going on?

winamp3 does not support plain old wa2's.
either convert it or add the wa2skin.wac found in the wac's section of winamp main folder to the wsz.
but i personnaly think the converter is better.
