Need help with a skin made by me. Urgent!!

I made my first skin.

You can download it. I didn't do it as a skin (final), but as a test
for programming in XML.

It's an attachement(the skin, in .wal format).

In the players-elements.xml I had to use the <elements> <elements/>
instead of <elements> </elements> because Winamp3 showed an error
message(Mismatch).

The problem?
Well, my skin doesn't show the play, load(eject) and exit buttons.
I know for sure that I made the button set-up corectly.

!!!!!TIP: Use Flash MX and import the image files to position
them as buttons and then you obtain their exact x,y position.
Attached Files
File Type: wal wamp.wal (21.3 KB, 110 views)

Hey, found a few problems...
Change it back to </elements> That's how it is supposed to be. It is giving you an error because your first bitmap isn't closed right, you accidentally put the '/' inside of your quotes. I'll keep looking at the rest to see why your buttons don't show up and get back to you.

[edit]Okay, found the rest of your troubles... Your "id"s are not the same in your elements and in your layout. The play button's image should be "play", not "goo", open should be "load", and you missed the 't' in "quit".[/edit]

Thank you very much. I am a beginner.
Where could I find an xml tut?
I already have the official one, from the NSDN.

I can't say I am exactly unbiased here, but I've heard rumors of a good tutorial by some guy named FrisbeeMonkey at this site.
What do you mean about an image in the author tab? You mean a preview image of your skin? That's currently broken in this release of Winamp, but you do it by putting a file in the root folder of your skin, then putting it's name (skin.png usually) between the screenshot tags.
Hope this helps,

Hey... chill... I'm still working on it. It should be more than enough to keep you busy for awhile. The rest is coming, don't worry.
And for the logo part, you have to modify it from your Control Panel(click My Control Panel at the top of the page). From there, choose Edit Options, it is the last item there, "Avatar".

PS. When did I become a Major Dude? I wasn't even paying attention... Man, it's like missing your car rolling over at 100K miles.

Sorry, I have no idea. XML? MAKI? I can help you out. Graphics? Umm, have you seen my skins? You'd probably want to check around for some tutorials (see the Skin Love sticky for some links), hope someone else here knows and shares, or ask around in forums more geared towards graphics.

Rollix:

All you need to do is really is pick the layer, flip on the dodge tool (make sure thier's a background layer under the one your going to dodge) then start messing with it (hold the ctrl key so you can flip it to the right mode (can't think of the name right now).

Hope that helps.
